The First Brain

I have great news for the readers of Baldscientist.
Based in part on the experience writing this blog, I have been working for the last couple of years on my first book, which will be published by Oxford University Press this coming March.
It is a popular science book, mostly about neurobiology in general and about the brain in particular among several other things from, if I may, a unique perspective. I wrote it with the interested layperson in mind and I hope that it will also be useful to my academic colleagues.
Without further ado, here is the cover of “The First Brain”.

Thank you, my readers, fellow bloggers, and friends & colleagues who inspired me to do this. You know who you are… (:-)… More details forthcoming. I will announce the exact release date as soon as I learn of it myself. To say that I am excited about it is quite and understatement!

  1. Congratulations!! Judging by your specialization, should I understand that planarians were the organisms with the first brain? (Wait, am I giving away the ending?) 🙂

Thanks for your comment. I will do my best to reply soon; be nice!
