Three Kings’ Day is one of the most important parts of the Christmas season for Hispanic families. It was a big deal when I was little, and I have tried to keep the tradition alive in my own family. Some of my most beautiful memories of my childhood are from this day.
This holiday is a celebration in remembrance of the visit that the Magi paid to baby Jesus. In the Hispanic tradition, the Three Kings (a.k.a., The Magi) leave presents to kids on the eve of January 6.
(Scripture does not state the number of wise men who went to see baby Jesus, but somehow tradition states that there were three)…
