Hello everyone! With all the “excitement” with the Covid-19 scare in my family, I forgot that The Baldscientist Podcast turned 10 years on December 10!
😃
I credit blogging for the beginning my science writing adventure and eventually my podcast (BTW, new episode coming soon; it was pushed back because of the aforementioned scare). Also, because of my blog I met dear friends and colleagues, I found a way to express my thoughts, and through it, I honed my writing craft. To be sure the first few posts were horrendous, pretty much like the first episodes of the podcast 😄. But I’d like to think I got better.
Up until now, I’ve essentially written about pretty much everything that came to my mind, and as much as I’d like to keep doing that, I feel that I must focus. This is a good thing. The deal is that I have at least three, perhaps four book projects in the works 😊. Also, I have my “day job”, which includes my research. I can tell you that I have about 6 papers in the works and at least a book chapter that it waaaay overdue (sorry Bob! 😁), so again, it is a good thing.
But I must focus.
Another reason for this is that I want to grow my audience. I don’t know why, but ever since I got the new website, that traffic of my blog has diminished dramatically, as have the subscribers. I don’t get it.
What do you, my dear followers think? I would love to have some input.
So, to all of you who have followed me over the years, from the bottom of my heart, thank you, and here’s to the next ten years!
Hugs,
Oné
