Well, it’s here, my 60th birthday!
Many people joke about or lament (usually both!) the passage of time. In many societies, arriving at your sixth decade is a rite of passage; exciting for some and poignant for others.
Well, it is my turn today, and I feel predictably reflexive about this milestone and excited at the same time.
Life is good; I have been with the woman I love for over 32 years (30 of those married). We have three great kids (ok, grownups now). I have my dream job, where I get to read, learn, and teach science, especially biology. As part of my career, I get to ask nature firsthand about some of her secrets, and I also get to tell the world about what I learn through scientific papers, academic book chapters, scientific and popular science books, as well as in this blog and my podcast.
I am grateful to God, the Universe, and everything; here’s to what the future will bring!
Hugs,
Oné

Happy Birthday, kiddo. I think you will find (as I did) that older is mostly better (with some exceptions). You are on the right path, just keep going. And check in on me in 3 years, when I hit 80.
Sy
Thanks, Sy! (((Hugs)))
