A short thought on the laughter of an autistic person

I love laughter, especially my wife’s and my three children’s. Today I wanna tell you about Reynaldo’s laugh. It is rich, contagious, and leaves you with the greatest feeling afterwards. Ever since we’ve been involved in the world of autism, we have heard that autistic people laugh “out of context”. For the longest time I have disagreed with this position, and today, for the first time, I am verbalizing my thoughts on this matter.

Here goes:

Autistic people do not randomly laugh innapropriately; they just think really cool thoughts that they never tell anyone.

You cannot say anything that will change my mind on this… Ever.
